Baby #2 update: Week 19


(Anything that is bold below is an answer from the 1st time around that also applies to this pregnancy)

How far along: 19 weeks

Total weight gain: 7 lbs (As of 15.5 week appointment - started around 120, last weigh-in was 127. I'll get an updated number on Friday. Yikes!)

Sleep: Still weird dreams, still waking up several times a night to turn over, but I'm getting good sleep for the most part.

Maternity clothes: Still mostly living in pjs since Oliver & I don't get out much, but I'm wearing maternity jeans & leggings when we do leave the house.

Food cravings: Pickles, chips & salsa (mixed with Hidden Valley ranch dip).

Food aversions: I still can't do sweets (but I still eat them occassionaly). Cereal & milk gives me terrible indigestion.

Symptoms: Sore feet/legs after walking long distances (already?! it's too soon for that!), always thirsty/hungry, backaches.

Movement: I've been feeling movement usually when I'm laying on my stomach or side to go to sleep.

Gender: We should be finding out next Thursday. I can't wait!!

What I’m looking forward to: Anatomy ultrasound in 8 days!

What I miss: Warm weather, an organized house, free time

Best moment this week: Getting the garage cleaned out on Sunday. It was a mess!

Baby #2 update: Week 18


(Anything that is bold below is an answer from the 1st time around that also applies to this pregnancy)

How far along: 18 weeks

Total weight gain: 7 lbs (As of 15.5 week appointment - started around 120, last weigh-in was 127)

SleepI've been having crazy dreams and still wake up several times a night, but it's going ok.

Maternity Clothes: Maternity leggings are awesome! As are maternity jeans that aren't so baggy in the back. I've been wearing more maternity tops as well just because they're new and comfy :)

Food cravings: Pickles, clementines chips & salsa.

Food aversionsSweets still don't agree with me, but I eat them anyways at least once a day.

Symptoms: Headaches, sore feet/legs after walking long distances (already?! it's too soon for that!), always thirsty/hungry.

Movement: This is the 1st week that I've been feeling movement that I'm 100% sure is the baby :) It's usually when I'm laying on my stomach or side to go to sleep. 

Gender: Not sure.

What I’m looking forward to: Anatomy ultrasound in 15 days! Getting together with friends & family this weekend.

What I miss: Warm weather, an organized house, free time

Best moment this week: Brunch with my family last Sunday and feeling baby moving so much these past few days.

Baby #2 update: Week 17


(Anything that is bold below is an answer from the 1st time around that also applies to this pregnancy)

How far along: 17 weeks

Total weight gain: 7 lbs (As of 15.5 week appointment - started around 120, last weigh-in was 127)

Sleep: I only have to get up once to pee, but am still tossing & turning a lot. I hate sleeping on my side!

Maternity Clothes: I ordered a few pairs of maternity leggings & jeans that just arrived yesterday. I am able to wear most of my regular shirts still.

Food cravingsPickles, chips & salsa, apples, baked potatoes.

Food aversions: Most foods give me indigestion, so that's a bummer. I still am staying away from sweets for the most part since they make me feel the worst.

Symptoms: I've been getting a few headaches and have been feeling a bit dizzy from time to time. Always hungry, tired after walking for too long, shortness of breath.

Movement: I've felt a few little pokes here & there, but that's it.

Gender: Not sure.

What I’m looking forward to: Getting the office cleaned out in the near future (hopefully!)

What I miss: Warm weather, an organized house, free time

Best moment this week: Watching my son & husband have a great time sledding after the big storm we got :)

Baby #2 update: Week 16


(Anything that is bold below is an answer from the 1st time around that also applies to this pregnancy)

How far along: 16 weeks

Total weight gain: 7 lbs (started around 120, currently at 127)

Sleep: I'm really not enjoying this side-sleeping business. I toss and turn a lot; it's tough to get comfortable.

Maternity Clothes: I ordered a few new maternity clothes this weekend that should arrive soon. When I leave the house, I usually wear maternity jeans and a regular shirt/sweater.

Food cravings: Pizza, veggies/salads, chocolate pudding, granny smith apples.

Food aversions: I'm doing pretty good with most foods. Sweets still make me a little sick after I eat them.

Symptoms: Headaches, always hungry/thirsty, indigestion, moody (my poor husband!)

Movement: I've felt a few little pokes here & there, but that's it.

Gender: Not sure.

What I’m looking forward to: Going out to dinner tomorrow with my husband and son.

What I miss: Warm weather, an organized house, free time

Best moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat for the 1st time at my appointment last Friday :)
